Kent Anthony Studios SS26 Presentation: An ICONIC Event

Kent Anthony’s Spring/Summer 2026 presentation took place in New York City, bringing people together at the intersection of fashion and art in a special celebration of the collection.

Closeness and connection is at the heart of this collection; it is an act of love. From the exquisite details, use of embroidery and shine, to the fit of the clothes, each piece is threaded together by a collective narrative.

Not only was the memorable event accompanied by an array of people and friends, but the collection was also accompanied by a film. Storytelling is at the core of the brand itself and at the core of Kent Anthony’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection.

Inspired by a trip to Rome, the idea to immortalize culture in what one wears is the priority. Heavily influenced by Kent Anthony’s own ancestor’s, a pivotal part in all fashion, he went to work to commemorate his life and his world and artistry.

The jackets make a statement, made out of sturdy materials while also providing outerwear that goes with anything and everything. Loose and breathable trousers give versality as it can be worn best on Sunday as well as to the boardroom. The clothes are sleek and stylized, showcasing master tailoring.

The most intricate of details, like the fun of fringe coinciding with the historical significance of braided hair, call for our attention. As humans, we wear our past every single day and, in this collection, Kent Anthony brings the past forward in fashion.

With a focus on the creative process itself, it offers a deeper look into the journey of an artist and of his community. The story of African Americans, specifically in the United States, is best documented with art as there have been many attempts to erase their history completely. As he states, it is the art that could not be destroyed.

Kent Anthony wrote on his website, “This documentation is evident in everything from the earliest slave hymns and Underground Railroad quilts to the paintings of Ernie Barnes. More contemporary expressions—like Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime show and the work of fine artists such as Amy Sherald and Nick Cave—also reflect and preserve the moment in which they were created.”

As the inspiration of the collection was first ignited in Italy, it combines the earthy color palette of the Italian countryside with the spirit of Brooklyn, a melding of cultures. From the visual references of classical sculptures, antique fashion, and the people we pass on the street, history stands at the forefront, ready to be preserved.

With the pride of his craft, and pride of his background, Kent Anthony has set himself up as an authentic artist. This is more than representation, it is a contribution to the culture and to the world of fashion. In one word: iconic.
