As a DVF alumnus, Henry Zankov possesses a profound understanding of the brand. This bold, multi-dimensional capsule unites DVF’s signature prints and silhouettes with Zankov’s graphic sensibility and modern perspective of color and texture.

Continuing the streak of interpreting Diane von Furstenberg herself, the campaign envisions a contemporary, eclectic, unapologetic woman who is perpetually on the move. Styled by Jermaine Daley, photographer Willow Williams captures DVF’s legacy of prints and empowered dressing that have been infused with Zankov’s distinct visual style. From the collection’s root emerges surprising textures, clashing colors, and a harmonic balance between urban influences and natural elements.

Given that this campaign was shot in New York, exuding fearlessness is expected. “This collaboration came together organically because of my relationship with Diane,” Zankov stated. “I have always admired her energy and her spirit, which is timeless and audacious.”

The interplay of color, silhouette, and material is illustrated in both individual pieces and full looks. At the foundation of the collection is its color palette which includes acid yellows that collide with deep browns, and baby blues offset by rich burgundies. Highly saturated colors and patterns typically not used together create a jarring and unexpected effect yet remain rooted to the fundamental language of both brands.

Central to the collection are luxurious fabrics such as chiffon, silk, and cashmere. Other materials like metallic Japanese lurex, satin, and cashmere intarsia braid are embellished with digitally printed sequin, paillettes, and detailed hand-embroidery.

Another aspect that has found a home in both brands is a sense of relaxed ease which is invoked by long and loose silhouettes that are filled with broken polka dots, paisley, batik, ombre polka dot and hand-painted monogram are layered and collaged within pieces. This is underscored by shapes inspired by the world of menswear, in addition to subtle wrapping techniques that nod to DVF’s legacy.
