Ludovic de Saint Sernin Will See You Now
Ludovic de Saint Sernin presents its Autumn Winter 2025 campaign, “L’Entretien”. Alongside Alejo Humanes and Lewis Gillooley, the campaign gives Amelia Gray the authority in provocative scenes. Photographed by Stuart Winecoff and styled by Carlos Nazario, the two balance various stages of power and seduction with a dignified hedonism.
L’Entretien, translating to “the interview”, tells a story of business– the business of being oneself no matter if you are in a boardroom or any room. Accompanied by Humanes and Gillooley, she seamlessly moves between corporate seriousness and nocturnal rebellion, dressed in a subversive manner featuring latex, leather, and shirting. The two men swing between subordinates and dangerous companions, reinforcing the collection’s relationship between ambition and desire.
The photographs embody a duality in which Gray represents a commanding woman whose image recalls Helmut Newton’s iconic characters. With slicked-back hair by Jawara and bold yet clean make-up by Karin Westerlund, these cast of characters find themselves in an uncompromising promise of allure and seduction.
With the help of Lolita Jacobs’ and Jean-Baptiste Talbourdet’s art direction, the campaign features tableaus inspired by collection’s tailored cashmere and bold styles that reveal looks transitioning from passive to power, where neither energy takes away from the other but sharpens its unyielding sensuality like a glittering knife.
The house maintains an engaging exploration of sex while delving into the realm of BDSM. Openly displayed are two men sharing touches and space, a dominating mistress, and the hazy line between sex and queerness becoming indistinct. Shame does not exist within this campaign as it promotes a shameless reality.
Desire does not have to be a fantasy. For AW25, Ludovic de Saint Sernin discovers the hidden intimacy in the shadows and brings it in the spotlight where it truly belongs.
