Michael Kors Sculpts Movement and Modern Opulence
Michael Kors’ Fall/Winter 2025 campaign stars model Angelina Kendall showcasing soft tailoring and free movement. Set at Chelsea’s Terminal Warehouse in New York City, the Dégagé Chic ad campaign revisits the site of its original runway debut, which creates the perfect scene for the sensual, elegant collection.

Sleek, luxurious, and relaxed. The collection takes inspiration from timeless black-and-white monochrome films, and pairs them with warm undertones to create modern pieces that can be styled for multiple occasions.

The ad campaign is photographed by duo Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, who focus on movement to emphasize the drape of the fabrics, with outerwear that feels relaxed, and effortlessly cozy. Michael Kors explores the interplay of light, depth, and texture, using varied lengths of fabric designed for layering. The result is a collection that moves beyond balance, taking on a sculptural quality.

Designer Michael Kors states, “This is everyday opulence. It’s about pieces you can wear today, tomorrow and for many years to come.”

For the ad campaign, Carlos Nazario styles Kendall in a perfectly contrasting mix of feminine and masculine silhouettes. Her tousled hair adds a slight carefree vibe to the looks, in the same style of the clothing, even mixing in with some of the shearling accessories. The campaign styling builds on the fresh, powerful and put together style the collection evokes. Relaxed yet tailored menswear coats, pleated skirts, and trousers appear in deep chocolate, warm caramel, rich bottle green, moody aubergine, and muted tones of iris and celadon, balanced with classic urban greys, black and white. Layered over smooth silk blouses and dresses that cascade like liquid as they flow, the items really bring warmth and elegance to modern comfort, creating a dialogue with the industrial backdrop of the terminal warehouse.

The collection showcases everything from sleeveless and fur coats to high necklines, sequins, a belted backless top, textured knits, and asymmetrical cuts, proving that there is nothing the items won't embrace. Whether it is a daytime classic you are in search of, or something a bit more sparkly, this collection has a chic take on it.

The accessories in the collection, which is described as “hands-in-the-pocket chic” by designer Michael Kors, add to the depth and opulence of the pieces. Oversized clutches, bowling bags, shearling hats and scarves, and sleek leather gloves, help balance the softness and sculptural nature of the collection with structure and textures perfect for cold days.
