KidSuper Takes Us To Places We've Never Been
Through Motion and Soundtrack, KidSuper’s FW25 collection unfolds as a living narrative on the runway. Titled "From a Place I Have Never Been,” the Paris Fashion Week show explored the tension between fantasy and reality, reminding us that fashion has the potential to open the door straight into our imagination.

KidSuper designer Colm Dillane partnered up with renowned artist Daniel Wurtzel, to create a sculptural flow set against the enchanting voice of Ekaterina Shelehova, resulting in a “Hauntingly beautiful soundtrack” and a performance that blurred the line between fashion and the unknown. The collection, which was first released on September 5th, will continue to have weekly drops until October 17.
Continuing to blur the line between what's real and what's not, Dillane worked with creative director TJ Sawyer, to create a realm of fantasy. The FW25 campaign relies on contrasting imagery and settings to form the visuals for the duality of utopia and dystopia. Abstract graphics, bold pops of color and tailored coats are styled against a floral landscape, brightly colored with a dreamlike haze to represent the side of utopia. The campaign shows the garments being worn while lounging on camping chairs, exuding bold style and comfort. A white horse, a red kite, and even a lollypop are part of the intricate details that add to this brighter side of the campaign.

Looking into the side of dystopia puts the collection against a darker, more windy landscape, giving a sense of coldness to the items. Despite showcasing similar items as the utopia realm, the gloomier visuals give room for the statement outerwear to shine. With hooded fur jackets, voluminous puffer pants, and hand-made finishes in the essence of KidSuper, the collection is exploratory yet still practical, “made for the street but born from the studio.” The dystopian realm is also styled with a horse, however, one that is black in color and takes on a more integrated role in the visual story.

Portraits on the canvas of dress shirts, overdyed patterns, abstract adornments, and a reimagining of everyday hoodies are all part of the first glimpse into KidSuper’s creations. As for the future drops, the unexpected and the experimental is all fair game as the collection inspires imagination and takes us on a journey to exploration.

The contrasting visuals have a surreal feeling to them. Eye contact with the camera, a lack of visual noise that exudes from the natural landscapes, and a man raised by the wind. The campaign and collection truly tell a story of imperfection, abstraction, exaggeration that accompany the venturing nature of KidSuper.
