NYC's Greatest Pools & Rooftops To Check Out This Summer!

Sushi Lab - 132 West 47th Street

Sushi Lab is a Japanese sushi bar that sits on the rooftop of the Sanctuary Hotel New York. They serve lunch and dinner on Tuesdays through Sundays and only dinner on Mondays with options of dining in, picking up, and delivery.

The Greens- 89 South Street

The Greens, located at Pier 17 in the Seaport District, serves New American cuisine along with cocktails and desserts. This unique restaurant enables customers to book hour and a half reservations to sit in their own private mini lawn with chairs and umbrellas set up, each lawn being socially distanced from one another. Reservations are $20 during off-peak times and $40 during peak times. Additionally, it has a beautiful view, being on the water, of the city and bridges.

The Fleur Room- 105 West 28th Street

This lounge, which sits on the Moxy Chelsea’s 35th floor, serves cocktails and “light bites.” It has had A-list celebrities enjoy its ambiance. Though it is an indoor room, its glass walls give life to a spectacular panoramic view of the city, including views of the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty, and the walls can retract. This venue is available for a casual reservation or to host an event.

SERRA by Birreria- 200 5th Avenue

SERRA is known for being a cute rooftop greenhouse, and each season they enclose the restaurant with different flowers for a whimsical atmosphere. Not only does the decor change with the seasons but so does their menu. SERRA highlights its botanical touch with seasonal cocktails, beers, and Italian food.

Ophelia-3 Mitchell Plaza

Historically a women’s-only club and hotel, Ophelia is a time machine back to the ‘20s. Today it is a luxurious, rooftop bar and restaurant that is open seven days a week and is available for private events.

Bar SixtyFive at Rainbow Room- 30 Rockefeller Plaza

65 floors up, Bar SixtyFive sits high in the sky, serving great views of the city from its floor length windows. Being part of the Rainbow Room, it is a well-established bar that has been in business for decades. Currently only open for private events, the bar is typically open for an unforgettable night filled with great friends, great drinks, and great food.

Mr. Purple-180 Orchard Street

Mr. Purple is a rooftop lounge on the 15th floor of Hotel Indigo Lower East Side open every day until midnight, 2A.M. on Fridays and Saturdays. It not only has indoor and outdoor bar areas but also a small pool.

1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge- 60 Furman Street

Hotel Brooklyn Bridge has a rooftop pool overlooking the river and skyline. Guests can enjoy poolside drinks and snacks while relaxing in the sun. Due to availability, they need a reservation and guests can only be there a maximum of two and a half hours per room each day.

Gansevoort Meatpacking- 18 9th Avenue

This rooftop pool is open to guests all year round, 10 hours a day and 14 in the summer. The skyline and river views make it an especially breathtaking place to be at sunset.

Life Time Sky- 605 West 42nd Street

This luxury pool is perfect for family trips. Adults can relax in the comfortable cabanas, drinking and eating, while the kids have a blast on the waterslides or parents can join them in the pool for great fun. Life Time also prides themselves on poolside entertainment, such as “fun events,” workouts, DJ entertainment and more.

Baccarat Hotel- 28 West 53rd Street

The chic, all-white pool room in the Baccarat Hotel surrounds guests in peace and class. The walled off cabanas have daybeds, and the experience is private and intimate.

Somewhere Nowhere NYC- 112 West 25th Street

Somewhere Nowhere is a cute, garden-themed escape from the city. The quaint rooftop pool sits on the top of the Renaissance NY Chelsea Hotel, serving skyline views, drinks, food, live music, and a good time. It is open to that portion of the public that is 21+ and has a valid ID, which is needed to gain entrance.

Park Hyatt New York- 153 West 57th Street

This indoor pool at the Park Hyatt is perfect for a calming pool visit after a long day of running around the city.

The Empire Hotel- 44 West 63rd Street

This rooftop pool is exclusive to hotel guests and is a more relaxing alternative to the typical rooftop pools in the city.
