H&M Announces Collaboration with Rabanne, Just in Time for the Holiday

At a party at Silencio Nightclub in Paris took place on October 2nd, it was announced that H&M and Paco Rabanne are teaming up for a collaboration. The luxury fashion house is making its debut in their first collaboration with the billion-dollar company. The collection was said to be released by November 9th, so we can expect party outfits, just in time for the holidays! The collection will include womenswear, menswear, and home decor!  As H&M has collaborated with other luxury designers, including Mugler, Versace, Stella McCartney, and many others, we can expect to see another great collection in H&M stores soon.

The playful, party aesthetic of Rabanne provided the perfect environment to announce the collaboration. The party was filled with stars from many industries. Some of the attendees include Cher, Jared Leto, Elle Fanning, Irina Shayk who had the exciting privilege of a first look at the collection to come. Some guests wore pieces from the upcoming capsule collection, as well. The glamorous event in Paris showed the Rabanne aesthetic perfectly, from lively disco-inspired to chainmail looks.

Since Rabanne is known for their lively and joyful attire, we can expect to see similar fabrics, colors, and silhouettes for the H&M collaboration. The announcement was made on the internet, where H&M announced the collection to the world. Creative Director at Rabanne, Julien Dossena discussed the event and upcoming collection. Dossena says, “Rabanne has always been a joyful brand, and this event captured the playful mood of the Rabanne H&M collection…”, allowing for insight on what we might see in the collection. From past collections of Rabanne (most recently FW ‘23 for comparison), we see the inspiration of 70s disco and extravagant nightlife, through sheer and metallic materials, animal print, and sequin embellishments.

The translation from the luxury designer collections to retail stores will be compelling to see. With a sneak peek from the party, we can expect to see embellished knitwear and coats, holiday party dresses, and hopefully many metallic and sequin sets.

The collection hits the clothing racks by the beginning of November, which allows for enough time to shop for holiday party outfits or a gift for a friend, before the holiday rolls around. The collection is said to be “obtainable luxury for all”, making the collection more affordable. As we hear all the raving about the collection, make sure to get to an H&M store for when it opens, to snag a few pieces from the collection before it sells out.
