Milan Fashion Week: Spring 2024 Collection
1. Diesel Spring Summer 2024
Diesel’s poster child and metaphorical mother to many, Julia Fox, and icon Richie Shazam graced the Diesel carpet as they debuted in front of an audience of 5,00–Diesel, this Milan had a vision–and absolutely everyone needed to see it. Denim was celebrated alongside a record-breaking sculpture, with the glimmers of blue and y2k lingering in the details of Diesels Spring Summer 2024. Diesel wants you to know that fashion is for everyone, denim is for everyone, and with their touches of seemingly odd textures, fringes, metallics, and spontaneous combinations, somehow, they make it work, time after time.
2. Ermanno Scervino Spring Summer 2024
Everyone fell in love with One of a Kind this Milan. Designers Ermanno Daelli and Toni Scervino describe the collection as a “love letter to the craft”, and it's evident. Italy and its fashion are all about less being more. The craftsmanship that goes into these striking pieces reminds us of the core of fashion, the essence of the Italian values embedded into design. Ermanno Servino doesn't believe in caging womens bodies in fabrics and instead gives them wings of sheer, airy, femininity.
3. MSGM Spring Summer 2024
MSGM, made everyone blush with their girly-inspired pattern combos, which made us all question. Is mismatch back? Re-inventing what it means to pair socks with heels, and incorporating pastel shades to flannel–I feel like a girl again. MSGM’s way of presenting their edgy, but soft, but funky Spring Summer 2024–it's just so fun.
4. Aniye Records Spring Summer 2024
Aniye Records embodies the spirit and rock and roll, of the 2000’s lifestyle. Army greens, chain detailing, sparkles, and off-center designs. The perfect amount of bow and the perfect amount of lace. Aniye Records Spring Summer 2024 does maximalism right and should be the foundation of everyone’s going out closets.
5. Andreādamo Spring Summer 2024
Andreādamo, this Milan is everything and anything neutral. Blacks, and browns galore. Draping over the models’ silhouettes, making styles perfect for layering, and perfect for detailing with a finishing touch–a strappy heel, with some ballerina glamour, and Orange tinted sunglasses for some edge. Its edgy, its flowy, its dark–its cool.
6. AVAV Spring Summer 2024
AVAV gave us more than looks this season–they gave us a performance. AVAV, this season creatively portrayed a statement on the time crunches, and the stress-induced chaos that comes with being in this industry–a play into the slow and fast fashion. With the words “Filthy Rich” tattooed on models, duck tape, and mascara tears. Beate Karlsson's, show this season, fell apart with purpose.
