Spend Your Time With Urban Jürgensen 2025
In June, Urban Jürgensen unveiled its debut collection, marking a revival of the brand under the esteemed creative direction of Kari Voutilainen, the most decorated independent watchmaker in the history of the GPHG (Fondation du Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève), alongside brand strategist Alex Rosenfield. This collection features three remarkable new models that seamlessly blend technical precision with timeless elegance. Established in 1773, the historic Danish watchmaker has garnered admiration from royalty and collectors alike, encouraging a celebration of time through exquisite craftsmanship.

The watches are sharp, classic, and perfectly understated, being offered in variations of gold and silver, allowing you to determine what suits you best.
The UJ-1 is a limited-edition model commemorating the 250th anniversary, with only 75 pieces available. This watch reimagines the iconic Pratt Oval Pocket Watch into a contemporary wristwatch, featuring a hand-stitched strap made from ethically sourced alligator leather and a soft calfskin lining. Its story is intertwined with Kari, who embodies the shared values of Urban Jürgensen. When Pratt was unable to finish the Oval, Peter Baumberger sought Kari to help complete the vision. Now, as Co-CEO of UJ, he returns not to replicate, but to enhance the beauty of timekeeping.
The UJ-2, while minimalist in design, showcases remarkable craftsmanship, featuring a unique double-wheel natural escapement. It offers multiple aesthetic options, including a blue or silver dial and choices between a gold or platinum case while the UJ-3 presents a sophisticated perpetual calendar with moonphases on display, developed in collaboration with Andreas Strehler. Every detail is meticulously polished, underscoring the brand’s commitment to excellence.
Urban Jürgensen has a rich history of crafting exquisite timepieces for over 250 years, reflecting the essence of how we measure time and how it influences our daily lives. Embracing the Danish ethos, the brand values precision, elegance, and meticulous attention to detail. Each timepiece is driven by a unique movement and expertly finished at the new atelier located in Biel, Switzerland, ensuring a perfect blend of art and functionality.
