Charbel Karam's Renewed Elegance Illuminated by Light Collection
Lebanese designer Charbel Karam reimagines the classical silhouette in his Rebirth of Light collection
“Renewed elegance illuminated by light”
Hope and renewal are not merely reflections of light, they are a celebration of it as a transformative force. In “Rebirth of Light,” Charbel Karam reshapes classical fashion through a contemporary lens, offering the modern woman a presence that transcends the moment while surrounding her with a distinctive radiance for Spring Summer 2026.
The dual inspirations behind the collection extend beyond the idea of light as reflection, as they trace a new narrative of light in all its states and aesthetics, from sunrise to sunset. This transition unfolds through a regal palette where luminous gold evokes the brilliance of dawn and warm bronze reflects the serenity of dusk. Between these two moments lies a spectrum of beige tones that gradually soften into nude shades, harmonized with accents of burgundy and blue grey, creating a composition that moves effortlessly between quiet refinement and glowing intensity.
Comprising 39 designs, the collection flows with refined femininity. Silhouettes move between body skimming A line cuts that enhance allure and fluid flared shapes that offer freedom of movement. The designs include long evening gowns alongside two piece ensembles, where dresses are paired with open coats or capes, and sculpted corsets meet skirts that express softness and grace.
In “Rebirth of Light,” Charbel Karam redefines classical taste with a modern sensibility, addressing a woman of elegance and presence who chooses what reflects her identity rather than what trends impose. While remaining faithful to the classical school, he evokes timeless sophistication by drawing inspiration from the legacy of iconic maisons such as Valentino, creating garments intended for meaningful occasions instead of fleeting runway moments.
The spirit of the collection is elevated through lightweight fabrics that feel alive, including chiffon, mousseline and silk blends. Fiber structures appear in the two piece designs, particularly in capes, introducing an architectural dimension that balances softness with strength.
The concept of light’s birth and radiance is further expressed through intricate embroidery inspired by luminous rays. Radiating lines intersect and disperse like sunbeams, translated into transparent crystals and sequins that mirror the movement and reflection of light, allowing each piece to appear as if it captures and reinterprets its glow.
With this luminous beginning, Charbel Karam signals a new chapter as he prepares to unveil a dedicated bridal collection that extends the dream and celebrates light in its most exquisite form.
