Acne Studios’ Spring/Summer 2026

For Spring/Summer 2026, Acne Studios blurs the boundaries between extreme and the everyday, exploring the concept of female protagonists and the complexities of her perceptions, including that of herself.

This collection showcased elements of culture, society, and the spirit of the times. It also represents a manifestation of a creative vision that becomes clearer once it is experienced in the real world.

We are shown that Identity is not fixed and are presented an opportunity to examine established notions of assertive femininity. The characters exude a powerful, androgynous energy. Clad in tailored suit jackets, both fitted and loose, and uniform skirts, their poses convey a sense of assuredness. This demeanor is further expressed through couture lace in patchwork designs, maintaining its structure as a sculptural, second-skin forms that both emphasize and challenge the significance of craftsmanship.

Jonny Johansson stated, “I’ve always felt that creativity is perhaps about being able to see the world in a way you didn’t realise could be seen. There are people who can do that to you, they make the world feel different, they stand out and tell you a new story.”

Transparent deconstruction pairs a lumberjack shirt with a gauzy slip skirts. Soft poplin is washed into soft dishevelment, while leather and suede are waxed or spray-painted as though aged by the toil of physical work. Fine knits are layered underneath; chunkier sweaters with windowpane holes are worn outward and creatively. Jeans, torn open or slashed apart and reassembled, take on highly tactile forms. There’s the crunch of a papery layer atop denim; the smooth glide of a straight-leg “1996” fit that is distressed and rubberized with latex.

The accessories for the show are bold. The aviator sunglasses come with both reflective and clear lenses; big-buckled belts and oversized earrings made of amber, turquoise, and sage. Footwear communicates individuality through square-toe loafers with wedged heels, pumps designed with an upward-tilting toe, and large cowboy boots that rise high up on legs. Accessories include a new iteration of the Camero bag with fringed styles to leather and the Hotel weekender bag that is spacious and has more compartments offered inside and a varying finish.

As the brand approaches its 30th anniversary, they guide us into a new phase of confidence, playfulness, and grace.
