The Five Trendiest Boots Of 2021

Boots are the one shoe that never go out of style, no matter the season, temperature, or outfit. We may have seen various types of boots come in and out of trend over the years, but it is undeniable that every season brings new designs on this classic fashion staple. With fall here, we look forward to boots styled with every outfit for every occasion: the ever-popular cowboy boots with autumn dresses, over the knee boots with your favorite jeans, and even the classic lace-up bootie with a cozy sweater to match. Here are the boots that you can look forward to seeing on the racks (and later in your closet) for your pumpkin patch dates or even your spooky nights out-on-the-town.

One of our personal favorites of the year, the Cowboy Boots have been worn all summer long and are now ready to take their rightful place as one of the most popular autumn styles as well. The Jeffrey Campbell ‘Dagget’ Boots are one of the best examples, with a mid-calf rise and 2.5” heel. They come in every color imaginable, even metallic fuchsia, for all of your fall needs.

More of a newcomer to the Boots scene, the Chelsea Boots have become increasingly popular riding the wave of the chunky boots. We say the chunkier the better, and the Ganni mid-calf Chelsea Boots do not disappoint. Available in black, military green, white, pink and even a variety of heights, these Chelsea boots are the most versatile addition to your autumn closet, whether hiking in the rain (as they are also waterproof) or bundling up for a night out.

Combat boots are an absolute staple in the wardrobe of influencers, fashion gurus, and the average Joe. They are the one boot no one can live without. The genderless and powerful design are sure to suit every individual, adding an edginess to any look. There’s a reason that Doc Martens are seen throughout the year, every year, and with new platform designs, and even some more color options, this fall will be no exception.

Previously considered ‘taboo’ after Labor Day, White boots have made an exciting comeback in recent years, and they are likely to be one of the hottest trends this season. We have seen white boots in every style as a timeless design, whether it be GoGo boots or chunky lace-ups. For this season we love the pointy-toe and patent leather look from Steve Madden. Slightly more of a statement alternative to our beloved classic black boots, white boots are sure to catch the eye, as long as you can keep them white!

Over-The-Knee Boots are officially back and better than ever, after a brand-new makeover. In 2021, we like our Over-The-Knee boots with a rounded front, and a much lower heel, keeping the chunky and edgy theme going. While we used to see Over-the-Knee boots with a pointed toe and tall heel, this update, as described by the Prada ‘Monolith’ boots, keeps the look fresh and more versatile, now perfect for the comfort of walking around as well as for dinner-appropriate.
