What type of limited collections are you currently working on?
This past year I haven't created a collection but rather have designed individual pieces by request. These pieces, which focus on the idea of lightness, include jackets and dresses that have lighter foundations. Tulle and lace are something that I am experimenting with.

How do you handle both training and designing collections at the same time? We know your designs are inspired by history’s haute couture. Who are your go-to designers or collections from which you seek inspiration?
I picked up many skills along the way with great focus on hand stitching, pressing, pattern making, and embroidery. The most important skills are patience and problem solving. It can be a great adventure to see a garment take shape during each stage of the process. I'm still always learning or refining a technique.

What skills did you need in order to pursue this career, and how did these skills help you?  How have you adjusted to designing during a pandemic? Is it harder to find inspiration? When and how did you discover your passion for embroidery? What skills do you need to be great at this technique?
My design process has not changed much during the pandemic. The biggest adjustments are suppliers and deliveries. It's not harder for me to find inspiration. I'm always daydreaming something new. I have always been fascinated with embroidery and how it magically transforms a piece of fabric. Most of my technique is done with the luneville hook but I also use the needle. There are so many different techniques, but the chain is the foundation. It's also important all the work that goes into preparing the fabric and design before embroidery starts.

Where do you see your designs and brand going in the future? Are there any goals you have set for yourself and the brand for the future?
I see my brand carrying a bridal and ready couture pieces for ladies and men in the near future. I would love to see my pieces photographed in a way that inspires others to pursue this craft and keep it alive. I want to work on productivity and organization.

What is your motto in life?
My motto in life is make time for a snack.
