Jewelry Trends That Are Taking Center Stage: Fall 2023

Accessorizing is all about simple yet stand-out pieces. Our jewelry takes center stage by effortlessly draping down our bodies and faces, creating harmonious, elevated looks; with evergreen trends like bows and hair accessories that infuse our styles with a charming softness and necklaces thoughtfully tied around our necks, our jewelry expresses ourselves in the most mundane ways during the most mundane tasks. So why not take it a step further? In the fashion world, we wear one earring on purpose, and we make it work. We wear too many bows and call it the ribbonaissance. We upcycle and re-invent trends from seemingly medieval times. Yes, Grandma Glam is a thing. This fall’s accessories prove both fashion-forward and functional. Tying our looks together, we become the iconic and memorable moments we strive for.

1. Bow everything!
Coquette. Coquette. Coquette. Yes, please! With people calling the “ribbonassance” at hand, we remain inspired and in awe of all of the ways designers and fashion wearers are creating new ways to wear bows. Whether it's the “Sandy Liang” way with perfectly placed bows on perfectly blown out hair. Or Simon Rochas dangling ornaments to looks, we are reminded that there are never enough ways to use bows.

2. Brooches: Grandma Glam
Amidst the diverse tapestry of aesthetics gracing the fashion scene, brooches have taken the spotlight in a multitude of forms this season. No longer confined to the realms of British royalty, models, musicians, and stars from all walks of life embrace the charm of "Grandma Glam" by adorning their clothing and hair with brooches that evoke a sense of home and nostalgia.

3. Statement Earrings...but just one...
Statement earrings are here but with a twist this time. We’ve seen one earring being worn for costumes or personas embodied through punk-ish looks. We see the theme sported on Raf Simons’ Runways and teenage boys with dangling crosses who wish they were part of an 80s sitcom. In and out, they’ve come in fashion within every realm of media, but on runways these seasons, Christian Dior and Ester Manas remind us that the single-statement earring is back.

4. Rosettes
Like bows and coquette, playful energy persists through Rosettes; again, Sandy Liang is a beacon for flowers and playfulness that feels like a girl's summer, winter, and every other season’s dreams coming true.

5. Combination Metals
Metals are making their bold presence felt in every nook and cranny of the fashion world, drawing inspiration from the opulent body jewelry parading down the runways. From earrings to necklaces and everything in between, these metallic accents seamlessly harmonize with the art of layering, offering a versatile, ready-to-wear approach for any occasion, any day of the week.
