5 Sustainability Trends To Watch

With the continuous rise of TikTok and Instagram fashion trends, new ideas to increase sustainable fashion have become very popular. Individuals in the millennial and Generation Z groups are making an effort to shop from sustainable brands & companies, up-cycle clothing, sell clothes online, thrift more regularly, and keep garments out of trash and landfills. Designers have committed to discontinue animal products, create from recycled clothes, and use ethical practices at the manufacturing and production levels.


Faux leather: Faux leather has become more realistic looking than ever. Most designers have made the switch to faux leather for good!

Faux Fur: Faux fur is trending on the runways, it is perfect for fall 2022 and beyond.

Up-cycled Denim: Designers have been taking old denim and creatively reworking it into new pieces.

Cotton: Designers and clothing brands have started using 100% cotton. Cotton is a more eco-friendly alternative to polyester, nylon, and other synthetic materals.

Metaverse: Fashion is everywhere, even when it is not physical. With the constant expansion of the internet and web access designers and artists have created digital formats of garments and accessories.
