Simone Tisci

Simone Tisci is a make up artist and member of the House of Tisci in season two of Legendary.

Who is Simone Tisci? Simone Tisci is like my superhero alter-ego, she’s unapologetic, beautiful, fearless, and here to save the girls.

Why is your Instagram called “Japanesesfaces?”
My insta is called Japanesefaces because it was my dancer stage name. Growing up my best friend, tokyostylez, and I chose the names because we were really into the Harajuku culture and fashion growing up, and where you saw Tokyo you saw Japan.

You're a dancer, a model, and a makeup artist. How do you strike a balance between work and life? I strike a balance between work life by just doing what I love each of my jobs are things I love. I enjoy eating and spending quality time with friends and loved ones, and we see each other cause we all work in the same industry.

Could you give us some makeup advice? Do you have any particular brands that you would recommend? My makeup advice would be to moisturize your face before applying foundation. Your makeup will lay smoother and looks a lot better. My favorite brand is Pat McGrath period!

Can you tell us what you usually eat daily? How do you normally keep your body fit? I love eating sushi on the daily and seafood with veggies. I let go of other meats and became pescatarian, it keeps me snatched.

What are your thoughts on your ranking on Legendary on HBO Max?
My thoughts on Legendary ranking, I am extremely thankful for the opportunity to showcase my talents on a large platform; however, I do think that judges should have more experience dealing with a specific culture. I am big on the quote everything happens for a reason. So I’m happy the fans appreciated our talents as a whole and supported us through the good and bad that happened on the show.

Tell us about your experiences on Legendary?
My experiences on Legendary were amazing, but quite different being that we filmed during the pandemic. We were isolated which gave us even more of a well-thought-out strategy on how to create dope, unique, meaningful pieces.

What’s your next step? Can you share it with us?
My next step is to continue to grow in my modeling career, eventually cover more of my dream magazines. I’m just going harder on each talent: runway in major shows and makeup products.

Tell us your life motto. My life motto is, be unapologetically YOU, always be real. Check a bitch the first time so you won’t have the issue the second.  Clean version: Say what you mean the first time and you won’t have to say it a second time.
