Custo Barcelona, NYFW, Spring 2020
The Custo Barcelona SS20 collection is the first debut of its collaboration with the Italian manufacturing company Velmar. The brand worked hard to stay true to its roots of the glitzy "more is more" aesthetic.
Opening the show, the audience was entrenched in deep house bass with a recognizable Malaa remix.
The models blazed down the runway sporting the perfect festival, rave, and nightlife attire. To achieve the “wet paint,” theme Dalmau utilized vivid colored metallics, sequins, and shiny holographic eye-catching fabrics.
Slinky mini dresses with geometric cutouts, gladiator-inspired bodysuits, and long metallic raincoats were paired together for women. Printed sequined sweaters, neon paisley swim shorts, and holographic boxer shorts covered all seasons for the Custo man. Each piece in and of itself was an eye-catcher but when thrown all together the collection makes for a perfect mix of Barcelona nightlife fashion.
